| Title: | Chemistry at The Physics Classroom [FS] (P145) |
| Description: | The Physics Classroom has long been known as a full-service Physics website that serves Physics students, teachers, and classrooms. But that has all changed! The Physics Classroom is now providing rich, interactive resources for Chemistry teachers. A vast array of tutorials, curriculum, Concept Builders, Calculator Pad problems sets, and Science Reasoning activities have populated the site. With more than 200 ready-to-use, fully customizable, and cognitively-rich activities, we now qualify as a Chemistry website. Developers Tom and Trevor will discuss how teachers can use the resources to build conceptual models, correct student misconceptions, foster conceptual reasoning, and develop content-related skills. They will also demonstrate how to leverage the Task Tracker system in order to manage and customize assignments, track student progress, provide remediation where understanding is lacking, and acquire scores for input into electronic grading systems.
