Abstract Details (PID = P145)
Title:Teaching Space Science with Big History (P145)
Description:Astronomy is the grandest story ever told and teaches the students about space, life, and their place in it. In the presentation I will share how I have designed a semester long curriculum guided by THE BIG HISTORY PROJECT. By discussing astronomy using their ideas surround "thresholds" and starting at the big bang teachers will be able to teach the students about the scientific story that began at the singularity and ends with them sitting in this chair today while hitting on all of the major NGSS Earth & Space Standards.
