NISE / Naperville 203 - Free Institute Day
NISE / Naperville 203 - Science Educator Academy
Northern Illinois Science Educators (NISE), in cooperation with Naperville CUSD 203 (Naperville 203), is offering a "mini-conference" on science education as part of the DuPage Countywide Institute Day on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm.
The day will consist of sessions on both NGSS and content. NGSS-related sessions will include areas of NGSS integration, 3-dimensional assessment, and instructional practices on using SEPs and CCC. Content related sessions will include topics on Life Science, Physical Science, and Earth & Space Science (ESS). We hope to have several state and nationally renowned experts in the areas of NGSS alignment, integration and assessment, as well as scientist, engineers, and researchers.
NISE is proud to work with educators in the science education community to develop an exciting PD day for 6-12 science teachers in the Chicagoland area. The goal is to provide a balance of theory related presentations along with real/practical methodologies for enhancing science instruction in your classroom.
This event is intended for all MS (6-8) and HS (9-12) science educators (not just DuPage county schools) and is FREE. "Grab and go" type snacks will be provided between sessions. Updates on presenters, registration, and other additional information will be made available as the date approaches. Pre-registration is required and will be limited to 200 attendees.Questions?
